Barcelona

Another place I want to visit is Barcelona. I do not want to visit Barcelona to go sight seeing or to see the history that lies underground, mostly so that I can see my favorite soccer player play. Lionel Messi, a forward/ attacking mid of Barcelona FC, is a marvelous player. His touches, speed, and finesse is what makes the game so beautiful. I want to travel to Barcelona to watch him destroy his competition before he retires. He is my soccer idol and my inspiration to be a better soccer player. 

Egypt

Egypt is the place where the pharaohs curse lies and pyramids holding ancient treasures and secrets. Next on my list of places I want to visit is Egypt. Egypt is one of the most places that are rich in history and secrets, dating back thousands of years. The Nile River runs through Egypt, which was especially useful to Egyptians because of its water with high-nutrients. The Nile River helped civilization prosper in the desert. A notable place to visit in Egypt is the Great Pyramid of Giza. Made in 2560 BC, the Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Built for the pharaoh Khufu, this was the largest pyramid made. The Great Pyramid of Giza is amazing to this day, because Egyptians made this without using any modern tools. They used their hands and hard labor to complete this marvelous project. The Great Pyramid of Giza is definitely a site to see.

Greece

Greece is a beautiful place in the Mediterranean. It has blue waters, olive trees, great focaccia, but most important, rich history. Ancient Greece is the place where democracy all started, and without Democracy, who knows what our government system would be like today. One of the main places that I want to visit in Greece, is the Parthenon. This temple was dedicated to the goddess, Athena, who was the patron goddess of Athens. Many famous scholars lived in Athens, such as Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato. Greece was a place of great development in war tactics, academics, and government. Greece holds great history and I can not wait to visit this place!

Italy

One of the first places and the place I am most excited to visit is Italy. I am majoring in Classics, which is a combination of Ancient Greek and Roman history, literature, and language, which is the main reason for wanting to visit Italy. Italy is a beautiful country in Europe, which touches the Mediterranean Sea. The Romans built the most expansive empire and when I travel to Italy, I want to visit all the landmarks and important places of Ancient Rome. One of the places I want to visit is the Colosseum. I will add a picture below of what the Colosseum looks like. The Colosseum is a place where Romans gathered to watch gladiatorial games, mock sea battles, and humans fighting lions and bears and tigers. The Colosseum is a truly remarkable place that is well-preserved.
